Habitat for Humanity International is an ecumenical Christian ministry that is working in partnership with low-income families around the world to build simple, decent housing.
Habitat operates in nearly 3,000 communities in nearly 100 countries.
Habitat’s Global Village Work Trips allow volunteers to travel to locations around the world to help build Habitat houses with families in need. Global Village trips often last one to three weeks and usually cost $100 per day. The trip cost includes all food, lodging, transportation, emergency health insurance and a donation to Habitat.
For those who seek a more long-term volunteer experience abroad, there is Habitat’s International Volunteer Program.
