Maryknoll Lay Missioners is a Catholic organization inspired by the mission of Jesus to live and work with poor communities in Africa, Asia and the Americas, responding to basic needs and helping to create a more just and compassionate world.
Is God calling you to serve in a way that transforms lives with compassion? Do you have skills and talents to share? If so, would you consider putting them at the service of poor and marginalized communities around the world as a Maryknoll Lay Missioner?
As baptized Catholics, we are called to mission. Maryknoll Lay Missioners offers U.S. Catholics the opportunity to respond to that call by serving people living in poverty in Africa, Asia, or Latin America for three and one-half years or longer.
We also offer the opportunity to join us on a Mission Immersion trip (10-16 days) and meet incredible people and communities who are working to overcome poverty and build a better life for themselves and their families. You’ll gain a new perspective into your own life as you touch and are touched by the lives of people from another culture. You will experience hospitality and warmth in ways that you’ve perhaps never experienced before. Come and see how Maryknoll Lay Missioners are responding in Christian solidarity.
