Thousands of the people VSO works with are denied access to education, healthcare and opportunities for employment which prevents them from escaping poverty.
VSO focuses on delivering lasting change in three areas: education, health and livelihoods. We aim to break the cycle of poverty and ensure that some of the world’s poorest and most marginalised communities have access to more responsive, equal and inclusive services. Social inclusion, gender equality and social accountability are critical to ensure sustainable, systemic change, and these are core to our development approach.
We are the world’s leading international development organisation that fights poverty through the lasting power of volunteers, but we can’t achieve our mission without your help.
The communities we work in need people like you – professionals with experience, ideas, energy and courage to make a difference.
We regularly recruit professional volunteers in:
- Medical and Healthcare
- Teaching and Education
- Business, management and IT
- Communications and fundraising
- Agriculture and natural resources
- Community and social work
- Engineers and technical services
- Advocacy, policy and research.
